By accessing or using Outcry AI products and services, including the Outcry AI website (outcryai.com), the Outcry AI iOS/macOS application, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Outcry AI provides AI-powered tools for activists, organizers, and researchers. The Service includes a web-based AI assistant, a locally-running iOS/macOS application with an on-device AI model, research tools, and related features. The iOS/macOS app runs entirely on your device and does not require an internet connection or account to function.
Outcry AI uses artificial intelligence to generate responses. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. You should not rely on AI output as professional, legal, medical, or tactical advice. Always verify important information independently. You are solely responsible for how you use information provided by the Service.
You agree not to use the Service to:
Outcry AI, its logo, the AI model, training data curation, and software are the intellectual property of Outcry AI and its creator, Micah White, PhD. The on-device AI model is licensed for personal use within the app and may not be extracted, copied, or used independently. Content you create through the Service belongs to you.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. The iOS/macOS app operates entirely on-device and collects no personal data. For details, see our App Privacy Policy. The web-based service is governed by our Web Privacy Policy.
Some features of the web-based Service require a free or paid account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe and are subject to the pricing and terms displayed at the time of purchase. The iOS/macOS app does not require an account.
We may update, modify, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. The iOS/macOS app will continue to function on your device regardless of service changes, as it operates independently. We are not obligated to provide updates, support, or maintenance for any version of the software.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Outcry AI and its creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Total liability for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Outcry AI and its creator from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of California.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
