Outcry AI for iOS and macOS
The Outcry AI app runs entirely on your device. It does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, and no cloud services. Your conversations never leave your device.
The AI model is bundled directly inside the app and runs entirely on your device's processor. Your questions and the AI's responses are generated locally. No data is sent to any server, cloud API, or third party for processing.
The app does not make network requests to transmit user data. On macOS, the app checks for software updates via a standard update mechanism (Sparkle). This check transmits no personal data. The app works fully offline.
The app contains no analytics frameworks, crash reporters, ad networks, or telemetry of any kind. We do not use Firebase, Crashlytics, Sentry, Amplitude, or any similar service. We have no way to know how you use the app.
Your chat history and preferences are stored in the app's private sandbox on your device, encrypted by iOS/macOS by default. Data is not synced to iCloud, CloudKit, or any cloud service. Deleting the app removes all stored data.
None. The app does not collect personal information, usage data, device identifiers, IP addresses, or any other data. There is no account creation, no login, and no registration.
The app stores the following data locally in its sandboxed container, accessible only to the app:
You can delete all chat history at any time from Settings > Advanced > Delete All Chats. Uninstalling the app permanently removes all stored data.
The app does not request access to your camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos, calendar, health data, or any other sensitive system resource. The only system permission used is network access, required solely for the macOS software update check and for opening web links in your browser when you explicitly tap them.
The app does not integrate with any third-party services, advertising networks, or data brokers. No data is shared with any third party.
Because the app collects no data from any user, it does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app has no mechanism to identify or distinguish users of any age.
On macOS, the app uses the Sparkle framework to check for available updates. This sends a standard HTTP request to download a version manifest (appcast.xml) and does not include any personal or device-identifying information. This feature is not present on iOS, where updates are handled by the App Store.
If we update this privacy policy, the revised version will be posted at this URL. Because the app collects no data, changes are unlikely. The core commitment — that the app runs locally and collects nothing — will not change.
